Found a great tutorial on how to make a boxy pouch on the three bears blog. This would be great for storing all your makeup or even crafting utensils.

Cute Purse Pattern!

I found this really cute purse pattern on the Just One More Line... blog. This is something I would definitely use, it's perfect for a new spring/summer purse! I usually use the same purse all year round til it starts to fall apart then I buy a new one. Mainly cause I don't like to spend money on a purse, I can never find that perfect one that I love. Now I can make my own and have a collection!

Craft Idea

I found this really cool tile picture frame on simpleartsplanet.blogspot.com. It gave me an idea to make a frame like this for a bulletin board. When I looked at this picture I thought it was a bulletin board at first, it would make for a nice decoration and space to hang thing in your office! Thanks for the idea!

How To Make A Headband

I found this really cool tutorial on How T Make A Headband on the Alteredcloth.com website. I never can seem to find the right looking headband at the store, this way I can create my own and actually wear it! I really need to invest in a sewing machine to make projects like this easier.

Safety Eyes

I've looked around at various craft supply stores, wal-mart, michaels, etc...and I can't find safety eyes. So I've had to opt for buttons to use for eyes. These eyes are perfect to use for toys they are extra safe if you are making something for a little kid. I found some that you can buy on etsy.com for pretty cheap. There are all different kinds you can buy too, not just black eyes.

Applique Pillows

I found this really cool pillow tutorial on the N.E.E.T Magazine website. If you click on the image above you can view a larger size and be able to see the directions. I've been wanting to get new pillows for the living room, I hate the cheap-o ones that I have. These would go good with the furniture, I don't have a sewing machine but I'm pretty good a sewing by hand, it'll just take much longer.

Needlepoint Nintendo DS Case

I came across this needlepoint tutorial on how to create a case for your Nintendo DS. I don't have a Nintendo DS nor do I do needlepoint. I just learned how to crochet, I'm sure I could use the needle point pattern and create a pillow or blanket with this controller pattern. Or maybe if you make it large enough it could be a case for video games. This is just too cool looking!

Transferring Prints

I found two great tutorials on transferring an inkjet print to cloth and paper. The first tutorial I found was transferring images to cloth on the Vintage Indie blog. This one uses soap shavings and turpentine its a good diy way to make your own iron on t-shirt design. The second tutorial I found was on youtube, it shows you how to transfer an image to paper using sheer heaven and rubbing alcohol. I had never heard of sheer heaven before so I looked it up, apparently it was introduced in 2001, it's a thick translucent like vellum paper that can be put through your inkjet printer. Seems like you can do anything with it, I need to get some and try it out! You can buy it on this site called Sheer Heaven Art Paper, I wonder if you can find them in your local craft store now.

Gocco

What a cool find! The last few posts including this one seems to be from a Japanese art, well I guess they are good at crafts!. This little diy printer, Gocco, was invented in the 1970's by a Japanese inventor. It's a small compact printer that combines screen printing and rubber-stamping. What a cool way to make small paintings, invitations, name tags, etc...I want to get one of these and try it out! I've always wanted to try screen printing but didn't want to hassle with all the equipment needed and haven't really had a space that's well ventilated. Unfortunately they don't make these anymore, but some art supply stores like Pearl may still have some available! I'm not sure how much they are. There is a whole site dedicated to saving the Gocco, check it out!

Magazine Bowls

I found this post on indiepublic.com where it gives you step by step instructions on creating magazine bowls. I thought they were pretty cool looking, and would make a nice decoration in your home. I have a lot of pots that could use a little jazzing up for cheap.

Jungle Animal Amigurumi

Here are some of the Amigurumi animals I've made so far. They will be for my sister's new baby! It's always good to have a reason for making things It gives you motivation to make sure you finish. The elephant was the first one I crocheted and used a pattern. By the time I finished I had some confidence in my stitches, so I mixed and matched from other patterns to make the lion and the giraffe, as well as coming up with my own way of creating the ears, cheeks, etc... Also, I watched amigurumi tutorials on Youtube that was a big help. Can't wait to make more!

Amigurumi Pattern

This was the first amigurumi project I crocheted. It was pretty easy I created it in a day. I found this free pattern and many others on the Lion Brand website. You can also buy patterns on etsy.com, they are pretty cheap. It's a good way to learn how to crochet certain shapes and eventually come up with your own.

Kiragami

I've started to get back into crafts lately since I've had the time to do it. I forgot how much I like to be crafty, I always created things when I was younger. It all started back up for me when I got a crochet kit, I learned how to do some simple stitches and created a scarf. I started searching for new patterns to work on my next project when I came across amigurumi. I love how these stuffed animals look they are so cool, I started to create my own collection. Well I just came across this site called Easy Cut Pop-Up, where you create Kiragami cards. They are the coolest thing and a cheap way to give someone a nice quality greeting card. I'm going to download the free template after I write this post, I was so excited about it I just had to blog about it right away!
