Octopus Crochet Pattern

I just got back from the Georgia Aquarium and have been looking for ocean creature crochet patterns since. Found this miniature octopus pattern on the Wunderkammer blog. Looks pretty simple and quick to make, I'd like to make some other creatures you would find in an aquarium and make a collection.

DIY Wedding Table Decorations

Planning a wedding and need some easy DIY table decorations? I found this really cool idea on casasugar. This idea is so simple and cute. If you get engraved wine glasses they could even be used as a gift for guests to take home. You could probably find even cheaper lampshades at a party store, dress the lamp shade up with some beads or flowers and you have a nice decoration.

Hand Knitted Wall Clock

I found this really cool knitted clock on Freshly Blended's flickr page. This clock was created by Diamantini & Domeniconi you can find their website at www.diamantinidomeniconi.it. Just by the looks of it, seems like this would be somewhat easy to accomplish yourself. If you are good with creating your own knitted patterns. You could probably buy a cheap plastic clock from Target, take out the clear plastic part, try and stretch the pattern over the clock. Or there are some websites and stores that sell clock kits that are pretty cheap. I would love to try this.

Daffodil Crochet Pattern

I have some bud vases that are always empty but they are sitting out. I don't really like to get real flowers cause they don't last long but I don't like fake flowers either. I had an idea to crochet some flowers and display them in these vases. I found a bunch of different flower crochet patterns and just love this daffodil pattern. I am crocheting a purse right now, once I'm finished with that I'll work on these flowers and be sure to put up a picture of the final result.

Recycled Magazine Notebook Tutorial

I have so many catalogs and magazines saved that I never look at. I save them just in case I can use them for a craft project and this one is perfect to get rid of my stacks of magazines. Found a really cool tutorial on how to make a notebook from magazines or catalogs on Heart Handmade. I could follow the sheer heaven tutorial and transfer some of my photographs to paper and paste them into the notebook for a nice photography book.

More Amigurumi Jungle Animals

I've finished the last three of the jungle animals I'm making for my sister's new baby. I went off of a bunch of different patterns and came up with my own way to crochet these toys. It probably took two days to make each animal, of course I took a few breaks here and there so I think it took over a month to make six animals. Amigurumi is such a fun little craft and pretty easy to pick up. I can't wait to surprise my sister with these animals!
