I found this patterned wall square tutorial on decor8. All you need to make it is decorative paper, foam board, spray adhesive, x-acto knife, and some acryllic paint to match your paper. Local craft stores such as Jo-Ann Fabrics and Michaels has a wide variety of scrap book paper that would be perfect for this project.

Wall Squares Tutorial
